Japanese Prime Minister vs. US President - It's nice to know that there's still someone who's worse off than you are!

Oh well.... That loser Naoto Kan survived his vote of confidence the other day. I was quite unhappy about that... But I was very happy with how he did it. He lied and tricked his fellow crooked politicians. In that way, it does make me chuckle.
THREE STOOGES MOST VIOLENT SEQUENCE EVER!

Moe says, "Power company probably got their wires
all tangled up. Go up there and straighten out the mess!" Indeed.

It seems he made deals with other politicians to not vote against him in the vote of no confidence motion. He promised them, that if they'd cooperate, that he'd quit soon if he survived with their help. Then, after he survived the vote, he reneged, and went around telling a different story about leaving office much later (or that he hadn't yet decided) and now other idiot politicians are angry that he lied to them? Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!

Talk about the kettle calling the pot black! What a comedy of morons.

Reuters reports:

Ruling and opposition lawmakers slammed Prime Minister Naoto Kan on Friday, as he hinted that he would remain in power until around January although he promised a day earlier to quit once the country's recovery from the March disaster takes hold. Former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, who supported the premier and voted against the no-confidence motion against his Cabinet on Thursday on the condition that Kan would quit soon, denounced Kan for backpedaling on his word.

Isn't that just hilarious? One liar, in a room full of liars, lies and the rest of the liars are angry?   Don't look now, but doesn't this sound like that place in the movie, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"?

Jack Nicholson stars as leader of unspecified organized political group

Sure, it's humorous. But there's a part that is not humorous about all this. Sydney Morning Herald reports in Japan Faces Downgrade as Economic Turmoil Goes On:

Japan's hopes of bouncing back from the economic turmoil caused by the earthquake and tsunami in March have been knocked by the threat of a credit rating downgrade from Moody's, and a rise in unemployment. Moody's warned that the devastation that struck Japan nearly three months ago is making it even harder for the country to recover from the financial crisis. It put Japan's Aa2 rating - the agency's third-highest grade - on review for a possible downgrade, adding there was a "low chance" of a multi-notch downgrade.

OK. This isn't funny. I suppose people who own lots of golf and silver might find this comforting or funny.... Unfortunately, I'm one of these people who don't believe it is possible to ever have too much gold or silver.

Depressing news. Depressing news, indeed... But then, my good friend Mark, from Diamonds.co.jp (highly recommended) sent me this.

Mark sent this about Obama (click on image for full size):

Our prime minister, Naoto Kan, is an incompetent clown. But could he possibly be worse than Bush or Obama? No way. Japan is messed up, but we have the luxury of booting out our prime ministers every year. ... Hopefully every six weeks. You guys in the USA get stuck with these clowns for 4 ~ 8 years.

It's always comforting to know that there's still someone who is worse off than you are....

What Does Obama Reelection Have to do with Nuclear Sensationalism?

Obama has announced that he is running for president in 2012. What does this have to do with the news and other BS regarding Japan's nuclear accident and sensationalism?
ANDRE RIEU - THE EMPEROR WALTZ

TOTAL DECADENCE?
A lot, actually.

You are the target.

People who do not work in the mass media do not understand what kind of nonsense passes for news and truth in today's twisted media. Please understand that the news segment you saw on TV is not created by a seasoned and experienced TV producer who is concerned about the truth or the public good, but it is created by a 26-year-old producer who is concerned about controversy and ratings.

Climbing the ladder to main stream corporate schlock is the ultimate goal for these people; telling the truth is not.

Just as the media reported nonsense like the nuclear accident in Japan was the "next Chernobyl" or that "Northern Japan would be uninhabitable," Obama promised, "Change that you can believe in."

When the fact of the matter is that there is no difference between an Obama and a Bush. The problem is not a personality, it is a problem of a system.

Think about it: The American Empire.... Compare that with the Roman Empire.

The Roman Empire had Caesar, Caligula, Nero, Augustus and more... They had different emperors, yet, ultimately, it was still the Roman Empire.

The USA had Lincoln, Roosevelt, Clinton, Bush and Obama and yet it is still the US Empire.

I've even had friends who have worked in the mass media for years tell me that they thought Obama would be different.

Need me to tell you more about how the media twists everything for the gain of their owners? Watch this:

What fools. Same old. Same old.

The KFC Ad in China That They Don't Want Anyone to See

Mish Shedlock sent this to me and asked "Did they try to pull this one in Japan, too?"

Nope, Mish. They'd never do this in Japan. Not in a million years!

I think this commercial just shows how little respect the Chinese have for Obama and the American political system. Good on them.

Watch this:

The ad company who handles KFC in China says: "'It is no longer airing and will not be re-aired,' said a flack for Yum! Brands, the perpetually thrilled conglomerate that owns KFC."

Even if the Japanese think Obama is a clown and American politicians are all buffoons and fools, they'd never make fun of them in this way... Plus, Japanese politicians are all idiots also, so I suppose people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

But I just love the underlying message: A politician has a giant sandwich land on his head, is instantaneously killed, and the crowd erupts into applause. Wonderful!

It reminds me of the old joke where an American meets a Russian and the American says, "Live in a free country, I can freely criticize president Kennedy." To which the Russian replies, "I live in a free country too. I can also freely criticize president Kennedy."

Sadly, the Japanese are too polite to create such a parody. I think this shows a lot about the way the Chinese think and about Chinese society.

In a way, I have to say, "Good for them!" Why should we be reverent to the State? Especially one that has a Kleptocratic government that is a broken down embarrassment to the entire world like the USA?

Happy New Year 2011! From the Next US President! Hilarious!

This is hilarious.... Just when you were hoping the new year might bring in a change from the surly 900 lb. drunk and belligerent gorilla in the room, they step up to the plate and deliver. We're doomed! How could anybody be stupider than Bush? Or think there are 57 states like Obama? Well, read on...

Next US president?

The Guardian reports:

Sarah Palin: 'We've got to stand with our North Korean allies'

Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?
Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies – we're bound to by treaty....

Interviewer: South Korean.

Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

Thank to What Really Happened

Japan Resident Complains About US Police State

A regular reader chimes in on how the USA has become a police state and now we cannot send any packages from Japan that weigh more than one pound:

Hi Mike,

My wife told me this was posted in Japanese last Friday, but today is the first day I have seen it in English.  Truly, this is terrible and it is further proof that America is a totalitarian police state.  Check it out..no more mail to America weighing more than 1 pound.

From Japan Times

Japan Post Services Co. said it will stop accepting airmail packages bound for the United States weighing 453 grams (1 pound) or more starting Wednesday because airlines will stop such delivery at the request of U.S. aviation authorities as part of antiterrorism measures.
The postal services arm of Japan Post Holdings Co. handles 16 million letters and packages by air and sea to the U.S. annually, and "15 percent of that will be affected," a Japan Post spokesman said. That means about 200,000 packages a month will be affected.
The company said it will accept packages from senders that use a service enabling them to pay after delivery instead of beforehand, a service designated for regular customers, even if a package weighs 453 grams or more. The company will notify the public of any changes in the situation, the spokesman said.
The Transportation Security Administration of the U.S. has informed air carriers of the 453-gram rule, and carriers notified Japan Post Services, the spokesman said. The rule applies not only to packages from Japan but from other countries.

Firstly, Obama and his gang make a draconian rule in secret.  Absolute sign of a dictatorial government.  Secondly, there has been no mention of this whatsoever on the internet or other media.  Believe me, I have searched for several days.  The media bosses exist merely to trumpet the propaganda for the party elites.  How could they ignore this?
Finally, for the ruling party bosses to wave a hand and dictate that no one can receive mail weighing more than 1 pound from outside of the country is conclusive proof, its a police state.  No debate, no announcement, no nothing.  The people are cut off from receiving much anything from the outside world, other than papers.   Just stroke of a pen, make a law, kind totalitarian.
Best wishes and hope you weren't planning on sending any Christmas gifts weighing more than a pound to America, because its verboten.  Also, if you are like me, an ex-pat American who has to file tax forms that weigh more than 1 pound, you will not be able to mail them to the IRS.

Write a Blog! But at Least Spell-Check!

By Mike in Tokyo Rogers

I wonder if Barack Obama Twitters or, at least, does Pick, or any other Social Media? I guess he certainly must not blog himself. If he does, then, judging from his White House transcripts,  those must be nearly unreadable. And, if so, forget about his Facebook or Myspace... Those must be a total mess.

Marketing, blogging and doing Social Media is a must in this day and age.... Well, duh! You knew that already. You'd think that the president of the United States would know that too. You are about to be shocked by just how useless these people in government are!

But, I guess, Barack Obama is a moron, like his predecessor... Is Obama as dim as Bushy Boy? I think he is, but you be the judge.

Many people have asked me, "How do you blog so much?" Well, the secret, I think, is to - funnily enough - not to think too much. The secret to blogging often (3, 4, 5 times a week) is to write down what you want to say in your blog, Twitter, Pick, whatever  immediately on the fly - then spell check it - then upload as soon as possible.

You've got to strike while the iron is hot!

If you keep editing and re-editing your blog, it will kill the creative juices and slow down your productivity greatly.

So, when it comes to Social Media and Social Media Marketing, in Japan or your country, then the rules and hints to frequent blogging are to:

1) Write quickly while the ideas are fresh.
2) At least spell-check before uploading
3) Edit after uploading
4) Edit as much as you like using this method. Keep doing it until you get it right.

Simple enough.

Now, just for a laugh, I've got to show you the press release from the White House about president Barack Obama's latest comments. I know how hard it is to keep from making mistakes on a blog as I make them all the time, but you'd think the President of the United States could at least arrange to have work done better than a 4th grade level. Jeez, doesn't this guy have a proof-reader?

I'm not making this up. This is the White House press release. It is full of amateurish mistakes. I have highlighted the mistakes for you (if this is the level of work we get from the White House and Obama, then we are in serious trouble):

Obama: "We need to commit to fiscal adjustments that stabilize debt-to-GDP ratios at appropriate levels over the medium tenn. I am committed to the restoration of fiscal sustainability in the United States and believe that all G-20 countries should put in place credible and growthfriendly plans to restore sustainable public finances. But it is critical that the timing and pace of consolidation in each economy suit the needs of the global economy, the momentum of private sector demand, and national circumstances. We must be flexible in adjusting the pace of consolidation and learn from the consequential mistakes of the past when stimulus was too quickly withdrawn and resulted in renewed economic hardships and recession. For our part, we will pursue measures to SUppOit the recovery in private demand and return the unemployed to work. At the same time, we recognize the impoltance of setting a credible medium-term fiscal path: that is why my Administration will cut the budget deficit we inherited in halfby FY 2013 and work to reduce our fiscal deficit to 3 percent ofGDP by FY 2015, which will stabilize the debt-to-GDP ratio at an acceptable level in that year."

There are a bunch of other mistakes in this message, but I just copied and pasted one paragraph here for you. There are a bunch more at the original. Is this a joke, or what? I understand a simpleton like myself, making these sorts of spell-check errors, but the president of the United States of America? And in an official press release? Think about it folks, this guy is the leader of the western world!? Like I said, I'm not making this up...

We're doomed. The insane have taken over the asylum.
